How to Overlay Images
You can blend two images together using this tool. It's useful for adding watermarks, creating composite photos, or applying textures to existing images.
Steps:
- 1Pick your base image. Drag and drop it, select from your files, or paste a URL.
- 2Pick your overlay image. This goes on top of the base - logos, textures, and other photos work well.
- 3Set the opacity. Slide from 0 (invisible) to 100 (fully visible). Lower values give subtle effects.
- 4Pick a position. Center, corners, or stretch to fill the whole image.
- 5Try different blend modes. "Multiply" darkens, "Screen" brightens, "Overlay" adds contrast.
- 6Download when happy. Pick PNG, JPG, WEBP, or BMP.

Common Uses
Add Watermarks
Photographers add logos or signatures to protect work. Set opacity to 20-40% so the watermark doesn't overpower the photo.
Make Collages
Blend two photos together. "Multiply" gives a vintage double-exposure look. "Screen" creates bright, dreamy compositions.
Add Textures
Overlay paper, fabric, or grunge textures onto photos. Pair with "Overlay" or "Soft Light" blend mode to blend them naturally.
Questions
A: Each mode calculates colors differently. "Normal" just places the overlay on top. "Multiply" darkens overlapping areas. "Screen" brightens them. "Overlay" boosts contrast. Try a few to see what you like.
A: Yes. The tool handles different dimensions. Pick a corner position or use "Stretch to Fit" if you want the overlay to fill the entire base image.

A: It controls where the overlay appears. "Center" puts it in the middle. Corner options align to corners while keeping the image's original aspect ratio. "Stretch to Fit" resizes the overlay to match the base image exactly.
